In 2013, I was invited to create another iteration of eco monopoly for the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Building upon my previous processes of map-making, I created a Michigan version in the series, the mitten’s ecomats, specifically designed to invite audience participation to move elements around and take with them tokens of the state’s wildlife and environmental images. It was shown alongside some of the objects from eco monopoly i & ii.
